My research broadly concerns the self with a particular focus on self-esteem. I am interested in (1) effects of recalling past selves on the current self; (2) effects of perceived qualitative differences in belongingness (i.e., unconditionality of belongingness) over and above effects of perceived quantitative differences in belongingness (i.e., amount of belongingness); (3) the distinction between agentic and communal forms of narcissism; (4) implicit measures of self-esteem; and (5) the functions of religiosity for the self.
